Welcome to Nairn Model Centre – a traditional model shop in the heart of the Highlands. We are an independent family High St business – delighted that modellers from all over the Highlands regularly call in and passing visitors stop to see our small railway layout in action. 00 and N Gauge Railways

From floor to ceiling, we display a range of railway models and accessories from Hornby, Bachmann, Dapol, Peco, Metcalfe, Ratio, Modelscene, etc. We also hold a range of pre-owned locomotives from Lima and others.

Plastic kits are still very popular and we have a good range from Airfix, Revell and Italeri as well as a few kits from Academy, Tamiya, Dragon and Zvezda. We also hold a few examples of balsa aircraft kits, wooden boat kits and Matchstick kits.

Due to limited space we do not carry large scale remote control models or Nitro cars. But we do have a selection of small remote control helicopters and cars.

Tools and Modelling Supplies

One thing that sets us apart from many models shops is our range of modelling materials, tools, balsa wood, Plastruct, glues and paints. We also have a good range of scenic modelling materials from companies like Javis, Woodland Scenics and others.

Other brands stocked include Scalextric, Corgi, Oxford Diecast, Maisto, Bburago, Perry Miniatures and Plastic Soldier – and quite a few others as well.

So plenty to choose from.
